We are currently presenting an exciting opportunity as a Market Development Manager to join our team which is within the Development and Engineering sector of Inmarsats business, the team is responsibility for cross business unit development opportunities unusually with a particular focus on technology and infrastructure development. Working closely with the market access specialists in the division, this position is required to support market development for Inmarsat. The Infrastructure Market Development Manager will liaise with many relevant departments and teams within Inmarsat and with is distributors and key customers, as well as on occasion national regulators and policy makers. Activities will include providing support to the rest of the Market Development Team in order to support all necessary authorisations needed to provide the planned Global Xpress services worldwide under the most costeffective and least burdensome conditions possible. As a specific support to infrastructure market development, this may require, among others, activities such as analysis of market data supporting the development of specific offerings andor replies to RFPs draft, review and negotiation of MoUs and SoWs with VARs andor other potential partners. Key responsibilities Work with the Market Development leads to support identified projects supporting GX offer penetration, GXLband portfolio augmentation and GXLband major infrastructure development projects, with particular focus on development activities in emerging markets and infrastructure opportunities. Contribute toward market intelligence activities this shall include developing and maintaining a detailed knowledge of the MSS and FSS markets and of their evolution, as well as GX and Inmarsats value chain and infrastructure, and that of its competitors. Where appropriate, collaborate with the wider business and utilise existing information and resources of relevance. Work with the rest of the Market Development team to support discussions with regulatorypolicyspectrum authorities and the development of inventive regulatory solutions to achieve authorization of the GX service. Essential knowledge and skills An Engineering degree or a BusinessFinance degree in a related discipline with business analysis experience Strong and relevant professional experience ideally over 10 years working in a similar capacity in telecoms or satcoms ideally with knowledge of both Strong interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build and maintain strong relationships inside and outside the organisation Experience in preparing complex agreements and exposure to negotiation Demonstrable experience in providing commercial advice on proposed product and service launches Confidence to work autonomously, building relevant financial models if required and advising across a wide range of potential products and services Experience collating information from a wide range of sources and distilling critical trends Objective, rational and multidisciplinary thinking An understanding of Inmarsats GX proposition and a semblance of the competition
