Role Description Summary The incumbent is a member of the global Portfolio and Segment Marketing team and a key contributor to all SES Marketing and Communications functions. The Manager works closely with the SES Networks Product and Strategy team, including Segment Market Management SMM and Product Line Management PLM leaders, to develop portfoliospecific value propositions and messaging, which are used to execute a content plan encompassing written marketing collateral video, animation, and other digital marketing assets and sales and executivelevel presentations. Critical to the role, the Manager provides foundational messaging for global and regional marketing campaigns and events, social media initiatives, public relations, and internal communications. The Manager role focuses on marketing a diverse portfolio of services and solutions, including both fixed data and mobility services across civilian, defense, and humanitarian sectors. As a result, the role requires the Manager to have a breadth of knowledge in space systems, ground systems, and enabling technologies paramount to serving global government markets. Among these technologies are cloud and edge compute platforms, Internet of Things IoT, network security, network virtualisation and automation, and 5G. The Manager also serves as a key contributor to the marketing initiatives of SESs governmentrelated joint ventures. Primary Responsibilities Key Result Areas Leads global government marketing content planning and execution. Collaborates with Portfolio and Segment Marketing Content Strategy Manager to plan for and produce the optimal marketing content mix, combining written collateral, digital assets such as video and animation, and presentations to help enable the sales force and serve all Marketing and Communications stakeholders Partners with SES sales leaders, Portfolio and Segment Marketing leaders, Segment Market Managers, and Product Line Managers to develop global government service and solution messaging. Maintains a range of messaging and positioning guides on each of the segments key solutions. Provides essential messaging to colleagues across Marketing Communications to support regional and global campaigns, industry and customer events, internal communications, and external communications initiatives Ensures that the SES sales organization is informed of relevant product and technology developments, understands their value propositions, and has the presentations and collateral required to communicate these benefits to customers and prospects Keeps Sales Toolkit assets uptodate and helps drive Toolkit usage, working with Internal Communications and Portfolio Segment Marketing teams to generate regular communications to employees Plays the role of a thought leader, communicating SESs positions and perspectivesvia ses.com and other channelson key technologies and trends influencing the global government marketplace Competencies Storytelling creates messaging and content that helps customers and partners envision the positive, human impact our solutions have on their businesses and their customers Technical competence exhibits a strong technical understanding of satellite technologies, data networking and cloud technology principles, and network applications such as security, WAN optimisation, and softwaredefined wide area networking SDWAN Collaboration proactively establishes and maintains strong working relationships within SES and with our global government customers and partners values the contributions of others and gets the most out of collaboration Written communications excellence produces effective written collateral with efficiency, meticulous attention to customer value, and clear understanding of complex technical concepts Dedication displays a strong commitment to the success of SES and inspires others to commit to the organisations goals Resilience deals effectively with pressure remains optimistic and persistent, even under difficult circumstances recovers quickly from setbacks adapts quickly to change Selfmotivation takes initiative without close supervision and proactively identifies ways to contribute to the broader marketing strategy Accountability holds self accountable for individual results uses resources efficiently shows honesty and truthfulness Qualifications Experience Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Engineering or similar Minimum 10 years of experience in hightech marketing, preferably in the product and solutions marketing function in satellite systems, or in telecom and networking Strong knowledge of governmentspecific, satelliteenabled network services and technologies Understanding of core content marketing concepts and strategy Extensive knowledge of the satellite and communications networking industries Excellent working proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite Fluent in English proficiency in other languages is a plus especially German, French, Spanish or Portuguese Excellent written and oral communications skills Excellent interpersonal skills WHATS IN IT FOR YOU?
