For one of our clients we are currently recruiting a Mechanical AIT Assembly Integration Testing Engineer for their location in Bremen, Germany. Our client is one of the top players in the European space technology industry, offering solutions for complete satellites, scientific payloads and structures. Tasks and Responsibilities As a Mechanical AIT Engineer, you will be working in the Assembly, Integration Test team and you will be responsible for the assembly, integration and testing of the Galileo mechanical parts and subsystems in series production. Specific tasks include Assembly of panels Assembly of Central Modules and Propulsion Module Assembly of Solar Generators to satellite Assembly of Multi Layer Insulation MLI on external surfaces Performance of bonding tests Performance of Satellite Short Functional Tests Alignment determination Environmental test preparation Vibration and thermal sensors Deployment Check Delegated QA tasks, like standard inspections, mating logs, asruns, procedure variations, NCR. Experience and Education We are looking for a highly motivated and flexible engineer, who is able to perform under pressure and cope with project targets and deadlines. Other requirements include A degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant discipline Aerospace Engineering, Physics A minimum of five years of experience in AIT or testing for satellites Experience in the mechanical assembly of satellite structures, including propulsion systems Experience with Mechanical ground support equipment MGSE and mechanical tool kits Good knowledge of the Mechanical Engineering standards of the European Cooperation for Space Standardization ECSS Strong communication skills and fluency in English, spoken and written.
