We are currently looking for an Mechanical Development Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Mechanical Development Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European leader in exciting and technologically sophisticated projects in the areas of space transportation and satellites. Your tasks will include Perform the static and dynamic structural analyses of the satellites and their components Implement the mechanical performance analyses of instruments and highprecision structures for space applications Conduct strength and stability analysis for satellite structures, their components and substructures as well as interface elementsscrews, bonding, rivets Simulation and support of vibration tests on satellites and their components, incl. implementation of sinusoidal and random response analysis Development of mathematical structure models with the finite element method as well as application of pre and postprocessor software PASTRAN and NASTRAN FEM solver Documentation of all work, in particular the mathematical models as well as analyses and test results Presentation of the results to customers and internal staff. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant discipline Knowledge and professional experience in the area of static and dynamic structural analysis using the Finite Element Method Knowledge of composite materials and structures as well as ceramic materials are desired Knowledge in the area of structural strength and design of interface elements is an advantage Fluency in English and German is mandatory.
