HE Space is a successful international space company. For over 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a Mission Control Operations Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Mission Control Operations Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. You will have the following responsibilities Design and development of the MTG Mission Operations Facility, subsystems and interfaces Definition and implementation of Mission Operations Facility subsystem acceptance and MOF system integration testing Analysis of MTG specific Packet Utilisation Services PUS with the goal to develop operational concepts compatible with the Mission Operations Facility design Execution of Mission Operations Facility system verification and validation activities Definition and implementation of MTG Ground Segment system verification and validation activities Refinement of the MTG mission operations concept Definition of MTG mission operations data items Definition and implementation of Mission Operations Facility operational interfaces Execution of MTG Ground Segment, Mission Operations Facility system, and Mission Operations Facility subsystem reviews, technical, and scheduling and planning meetings Review and implementation of planned changes to the system configuration Review, disposition and resolution of system anomalies Development and implementation of operations for existing operational programs Development and operations preparation for recurrent satellites. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in a technical discipline Several years work experience in operations preparation and routine operations of GEO andor LEO satellite systems and their associated ground segments Verification and validation of spacecraft mission control systems Experience operating a spacecraft mission control system based on SCOS2000 Working knowledge of ECSS and CCSDS standards Mission planning functions and systems as applied to satellite mission control operations Databases and SQLrelated querying in relation to spacecraft mission control systems Knowledge of satellite simulators Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. This job is located in Darmstadt. We are looking for candidates who are available from January 2016 or as soon as possible thereafter.
