(Telecompaper) Polish operator Netia offers the new service GigaCable in Warsaw and Krakow on the HFC network of the former operator Aster, which Netia bought from UPC Poland. Netia offers internet at 300 Mbps (with e-invoice and 12-month contract) for PLN 49.90 a month (including free WiFi router) and a package of internet and TV for PLN 39.90. Aster's HFC network upgrade based on Docsis 3.0 allows Netia to offer one of the fastest internet services in Poland (up to 300 Mbps). The operator also offers lower options: up to 20 Mbps for PLN 29.90 or up to PLN 100 Mbps for PLN 39.90 a month. The coverage of the former Aster's network is about 50 percent of inhabitants of Warsaw and a significant part of Krakow. Clients who opt for internet plus TV pay PLN 4.90 a month for the internet at 20 Mbps and PLN 39.90 for the whole internet and TV package. Internet 300 Mbps, when purchased with TV, will cost PLN 24.90 a month (PLN 59.90 for the whole package). Netia's TV offers 180 digital TV channels, including 60 in HD. The minimum TV subscription is PLN 35 including the Starter package for PLN 15. Telephone service is available for additional fee of PLN 5 a month. The first multiroom service from Netia costs PLN 1.
