For our activities in EUMETSAT, we are currently looking for a Network Development and Maintenance Engineer. Tasks and Responsibilities The Network Development and Maintenance Engineer NDME shall support the operations and maintenance of the network infrastructure and services of the EUMETSAT ground segments. The Network development and maintenance Engineer shall carry out the handling and the troubleshooting of the network systems and services anomaly. The NDME shall be in charge of the operating, administrating and maintaining thirdparty provided network services. Heshe shall also monitor and report the performance of the network infrastructure and systems, including thirdparty provided network services, and the quality of the services delivered to the users Requirements In addition to having a university degree in a relevant field, the key person should have the following background Proven knowledge and handson experience in several of the following mandatory skills areas o Network fault detection, analysis, troubleshooting, fixing, o Cisco technology based network solutions. It will be considered beneficial if the Communication Engineer holds a current Cisco certification or is able to substantiate equivalent experience. o Network equipment Operating System OS o Network equipment installation, configuration and testing. o Operations and service management with external suppliers and providers of network products and services within a production environment, including interacting with external providers on upgrades, evolutions etc. o Technical authoring and maintenance of network diagrams Visio.
