Moreover, we actively manage your professional development, training and career progression. For our location in Darmstadt Germany, we are looking for Operations Preparation Engineers. Tasks For phases CDE1 of a new Geostationary Telecoms Mission we are looking for Operations Preparations Engineers. The tasks will include Review, refine and complement the mission analysis and other relevant documentation generated during preceding phases Support the development of the missions operations concepts and plans Perform the missionspecific configuration and adaptation of the ground system Develop and validate the endtoend space and ground procedures for LEOP, IOT and routine operations Prepare training material and provide training to other members of the operations team Prepare, conduct and document system validation activities as simulation campaigns, SVTs, mission rehearsals, etc. Participate in technical meetings, formal reviews, and scheduling and planning Meetings Be part of the operations team during the following phases LEOP, platform payload IOT, relocation to final orbit slot Essential requirements The following experience and skills are essential Minimum of a university degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline Demonstrated experience in the field of spacecraft operations with specific experience as follows Specification of system and operational concepts and external operational interfaces management. Definition, development and validation of operations for satellite ground segment facilities Spacecraft monitor and control operations Operational procedures development life cycle and operation preparations environment for operational systems Support to system validation Fluent in English. Knowledge of German would be an advantage. Other Information Start date is September 2017. The initial location of the work is in our Darmstadt office. When the control centre for the mission is ready for use location TBD within Germany, remaining tasks will be performed there. The candidate must have a valid German work and residence permit or be an EU Citizen. The candidate shall be eligible to obtain a personal security clearance.
