RHEA is currently recruiting a Performance Simulation Engineer to support the Ground Segment Definition and Verification Office at our clients premises in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Tasks and Activities Your primary tasks and activities may include Operate, control and maintain the HW SW infrastructure, including task preparation in the perspective of rehearsalscommissioning activities Generation of simulated instrument data Packets using instrument simulators SPS Processing of instrument data packet to generate Optical and Topography data products using processors GPP Analysis of anomalies on the SPS and GPP Analysis of results on packet level visavis a defined success criteria Support the preparation and execution of the Ground System Validation GSV Support to specifications of expected anomaly corrections and MMI improvements Implement the nominal and contingency test procedures for the execution of the activities defined for all calibration and validation tasks During the commissioning phase, being responsible for the execution of the test procedure Development of any helper tool and software useful for the related activities. Development and execution of specific test routines to support the optical commissioning activities. Skills and Experience You must possess the following skills and experience University degree or equivalent qualification in Physics or Engineering Minimum 4 years of previous relevant work experience in the field Knowledge in Satellite environment, Ground System and remote sensing in general Basic system management on Linux systems Red Hat, Ubuntu Software development experience Required C, Python Preferred, Matlab, IDL First experience with simulators and processing chain for optical scanner and bushbroom instruments e.g. ENVISATMERIS or SPOT or similar andor simulators and processing chain for altimeter systems, e.g. JASON, Cryosat How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
