Polyester chain prices have surged in the last week in Asia, with PTA prices even rising more than 10% on China's domestic market, over a low level of stocks. The rally could rapidly end, however, after inventories will have been replenished. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
