Polyester intermediate prices have remained firm in the last week, with MEG prices even recovering over a new surge of crude oil prices and over tighter glycol supply on the global market. Polyester fiber prices are giving signs of weakness, with filament prices now dropping for the first time in weeks. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
