Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)

Paraxylene spot prices have surged in the last week, reflecting strong demand from PTA producers. Operating rates are remaining at a high level in the PTA and MEG industries in China, as demand for polyester stays very strong after cotton prices have risen in June. Average PTA prices have reached a six-month high over the past month.
