PTA prices have this Monday plunged in China, over a lack of demand and whatever the fall of operating rates at PTA plants. Textile production has actually been reduced by the surge of raw material costs. Demand could however rebound over strong seasonal trends, once polyester fiber prices will have returned to lower levels, as a clear sign that price volatility could stay for weeks.
