Crude oil prices have further plunged in the last week, triggering a sharp decline of paraxylene prices whereas PTA and MEG prices were also heavily falling in China. Polyester fiber prices could now be contaminated and could also begin decreasing. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
