Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)

PTA prices have sharply risen in the last week in China, eventually surging 13% in seven days only. Petrochemical prices have been boosted by the announcement that US-China negotiations would soon resume. Prices have more than erased their recent fall, now returning to a 4-month high in China. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
