Crude oil and naphtha prices have continued to plunge in the past seven days, offering larger margins to downward intermediate producers. The polyester chain in Asia is now confronted with an expected fall in demand, however, after many countries have entered in lockdown. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
