PTA and MEG prices have surged on the international market, boosted by a rebound in crude oil prices in the past week. Downward demand for polyester fibers should now experience a seasonal decline in China, ahead of holidays. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
