The crude oil rally may force the petrochemical producers in lowering their operating rates to keep their gross margins in positive territory. Polyester prices could find strong support as a result. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. PTA and MEG prices are available for import and domestic markets in China and India. All data are available for download.
