Polyester intermediate prices rose across the board at the start of the week over a jump in paraxylene prices. Polyester producers could resist any new rise in their costs, however. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. PTA and MEG prices are available for import and domestic markets in China and India. All data are available for download.
