Polyester prices have sharply fallen in the last days in China, amid weakening textile activity ahead of October holidays. Prices have now reached historically low levels which have not been seen in the last 10 years. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) and Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) prices on the domestic market, including a price comparison of polyester staple fibers with cotton and viscose. The gross margin of polyester spun yarn producers is also released.
