Polyester prices are now slightly dropping in China, over a weakness of intermediate prices after crude oil has lost about 17% in a single month. Demand for polyester could however support prices after cotton has surged across the board in the last month. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) and Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) prices on the domestic market, including a price comparison of polyester staple fibers with cotton and viscose. The gross margin of polyester spun yarn producers is also released.
