It employs some 40,000 employees generating revenues of approximately 14 billion per year. A vacancy for a Product Assurance Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Stevenage. The role is in support of the projects with the responsibility for ensuring the relevant quality assurance controls of Space hardware and projects including hardware and software are in accordance with the project Quality requirements and those compatible with Airbus DS Business Management System. You will ensure an adequate, effective and efficient implementation of PA activities is achieved through successful integration with all management and engineering activities. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Implement a product and project Product Assurance Safety Plans. Assure the qualification and verification programmes are completed. Ensuring that all the subcontractor PA requirements, based on the knowledge of the products and the Customers requirements are implemented. Support regular progress meetings with other PA disciplines and reporting. Support provision of PA inputs for project design reviews, PDR, CDR, etc.. Undertake Inspections and audits as required MIPs, KIPs, etc.. Control the management of nonconformances and associated tools. Support Nonconformance Review Boards attend Configuration Control Boards, Test Reviews, as applicable. Process for requests for waiverdeviation from suppliers to customer. Action response to alert and warning notes systematically, ensuring their flow down and implementation by subcontractors and maintaining records. Support the maintenance of the Equipment Qualification Status List is maintained for equipments. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Some experience as Quality Engineer in the Space industry. Knowledge of Space Programmes and ECSS standards. EN9100ISO 9001 auditing, supplier evaluation and monitoring. Good team worker with strong interpersonal and persuasive skills. Background in MaterialsProcess would be desirable. Knowledge of Space hardware and Electrical Component would be desirable. Project life cycle reviews Design, in process, manufacture and test.
