We are currently looking for a Product Operations Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Product Operations Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. You will have the following responsibilities Support to routine operations involving the MSG, MTP and EPS data processing Systems that includes o Monitoring and reporting on the performance of the MSG, MTP and EPS data processing systems and the quality and availability of the MSG and MTP Level 1 and Level 2 products and EPS Level 0 to Level 2 products o Investigating anomalies relating to the performance of the MSG, MTP and EPS data processing systems and the quality and availability of the MSG and MTP Level 1 and Level 2 and EPS Level 0 to Level 2 products o Preparing and reviewing technical documentation relating to data processing operations o Providing standby callout support Support to the further development of the MSG and EPS data processing systems, including the specification and validation of system updates Support to the preparation of operational monitoring for future MSG and EPS spacecrafts Support for the operations preparation for future programmes, e.g. Meteosat Third Generation MTG and EUMETSAT Polar System 2nd Generation EPS 2G Participation in technical meetings Participation in formal reviews. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience A university degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline Several years experience in the operational use and quality control of geophysical data Significant experience in the verification and validation of operational data processing systems Experience with UNIXLinux operating systems Experience with production monitoring and reporting Experience with configuration control of software and data Experience with Oracle databases and SQL Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
