This vacancy note concerns an onsite consulting position at EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany. Satellite Operations Engineer 1513120 Job Description We are looking for a Satellite Operations Engineer to support our client EUMETSAT. You will be part of the Sentinel 3 Satellite system operations team and who will prepare and support the 3A routine when handed over from ESOC to EUMETSAT. This will cover all satellite and system FOSPDGS component aspects related to operations engineering for the platform, payload and instrument data handling, instrument parameter and OBSW maintenance, as well as FDIR and OPS security aspects for the management of encryption and authentication functions. You shall be required to support operations during normal working hours, as well as support the oncall operations engineer rota, such that safe and efficient operations are ensured by the Spacecraft Operations Team on a 247 basis. Your main tasks will typically include Support to the commissioning and routine operations of Sentinel 3A, and preparing for Sentinel3B comprising Support to the system and operations preparation of sentinel3 C and D satellites Support to the system and operations preparation of other LEO satellites Required Skills and Experience In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, you shall have a demonstrated experience in at least two of the following mandatory skills, with a particular emphasis on relevant Systems Desirable Skills and Experience Work Location Darmstadt, Germany Dates Application Deadline 11 January 2016 Start of Work February 2016 Important Notes Before applying to this position, please read the page Notes to Applicants on the Solenix website under Career.
