MOIS is an integrated set of tools for spacecraft mission preparation and execution, used by European Space Agency for all its missions. Developed in close collaboration with operations engineers, AIV engineers and ground and space segment developers, MOIS addresses the real issues that are key to successful mission preparation. The MOIS Scheduler is a constraint checking tool based on a generic planning model. It provides a resource and constraints modelling capability and can be tailored for specific applications. Rhea is currently searching for a MOIS software support engineer to join our team in Darmstadt. This role would suit recent graduate engineers looking for a first or second position, or a satellite operations engineer with experience of MOIS, seeking more experience in software development. Typical work will include user support, product maintenance and extensions and is also likely to involve participation in RD projects for the European Space Agency. The MOIS support will take place in the RHEA offices next to the ESOC facility as well as onsite in ESOC. Experience with the ESOC software maintenance tool and process GIMUS is a plus. PROFILE In addition to holding a University graduate in software engineering or equivalent. Relevant experience in software engineeringsystem design Excellent knowledge of the Windows environment registry, COM, etc. Good knowledge of MS Office Experience in MS Office development macros, interop Experience in database design Experience in web service design Experience in technical document writing user requirements, design documentation, test plan, test cases Excellent analytical skills Objectoriented design techniques .NET VBC, VB6, Java programming languages SQL XML HTML UML Continuous integration Experience with bug tracking systems e.g. Bugzilla Experience with configuration control systems e.g. Visual Source Safe Good team player but ability to be autonomous Versatile Good communication skills Client oriented User support Very good written and spoken English Other desirable skills ADO, ADO.NET SWING RMI CORBA Linux Experience in compiler design Python programming language Knowledge of German or French Location Darmstadt, Germany.
