RHEA is currently recruiting a Space Operations Engineer to support the Directorate of the Human Spaceflight and Operations at our clients premises in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Operations engineering for the European Robotic Arm and Meteron projects Multipurpose End To End Robotics Operations Network, and for future projects such as technology demonstrations on ISS Liaise with EAC, GCTC and RSC Energia for instructor and crew training issues, including maintenance of the ERA Astronaut Training Database ATD Software management andor rapid software prototyping for the projects in the office Logistics organisation for ERA integration and launch campaign, Meteron experiments and test campaigns in analogue sites field tests. Support the development of specific qualification andor ISS flight demonstrations of technology items needed for human exploration. Performance of system definition studies for future human exploration developments. Support the Office and Division in other tasks as required. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree in Engineering. Experience in space operations. Knowledge of the International Space Station Programme. Robotics engineering knowledge. System and Software engineering experience. Capability to work in a team with other ESA organizations as well as with external partners. Candidates should be rigorous, have good communication skills and be able to transfer technical knowhow in a clear and concise manner.
