RHEA is currently recruiting a Spacecraft Operations Engineer assigned to Sentinel1 but with the possibility of supporting other missions within the Earth Observation Missions Division. This position is based at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities Your primary tasks and activities may include CBand SAR instrument and the Optical Communications Payload OCP. Assuming the responsibility and perform activities for additional subsystems or systems as defined by the SOM or Division Head. Validation, test and operation of the MCS Mission Planning System Supporting the definition of the Mission Planning interface with PDGS Inorbit commissioning support Responsible for the SAR and OCP NDIU PSS validation, test and operation. LEOP support Responsible for Power, Thermal and Deployables. Skills and Experience You must possess the following skills and experience Applicants should have a University or similar degree in engineering or physics. Spacecraft subsystem knowledge, preferably for Synthetic Aperture Radar instruments or similar payloads Experience in activities applicable to spacecraft operations Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Teamplayer Selfstarter, able to work independently with little supervision The candidate should be able to multitask efficiently working on multiple activities, multiple subsystems and if applicable multiple missions simultaneously. The following skills would be highly desirable. Spacecraft subsystem knowledge, preferably for Power, Thermal Knowledge of and experience in ESA Ground Segment Operations and ESOC Ground Segment Components Mission Control System, Simulators. Familiarity with satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000 Some experience dealing with external interfaces. Familiarity with operational simulators, especially the ones based on SimSat Familiarity with low Earth orbit satellites How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
