JOB DESCRIPTION Spacecraft Operations engineer The Spacecraft Operations Engineer SOE is responsible o For the support to the Sentinels missions as a member of the Flight Control Teams FCT during the operational phases, including special operations i.e. LEOP, Commissioning, deorbiting.. o For the participation to testing campaigns Simulations, SVT, inflight tests of the above mentioned missions. We are looking for SOE for the following subsystems AOCS, OCP On Board Software Mission Planning Payload for Copernicus TTC Responsibilities Duties Tasks This SOE service team element within the Sentinels missions includes the following responsibilities Act as Expert operations engineer in the Sentinels Optical Communication Payloads and in the Guidance and Navigation areas, during LEOP, Commissioning and Routine phases Validation, test and operation of the MCS, including the OBSM and Mission Planning System Validation, test and operation of the Simulator Generation, validation and maintenance of the FOP primarily on OCP and AOCS, but also for other subsystems Support to test and operate the NDIU Support for FOS procurement, integration and tests Review of satellite documents LEOP support responsible for AOCS Commissioning support responsible for AOCS and OCP of the assigned Sentinels Missions, and provide expertise on those areas to the any of the other Sentinels SOMs when required The Service Provider is required to familiarise himherself with the missions heshe is supporting and in particular with the procedures and tools that are needed to perform the Sentinel operations. The tasks to be performed require considerable initiative, flexibility and independence in executing the assigned tasks.
