JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks The areas of responsibility for this service are corresponding to a Systems Engineering Service but including activities within specific subsystems e.g payload and within the scope of general SOE services, such as test, validation and operation of the Mission Control System, Mission Planning System, Automation System and Simulator. The service to be provided will be primarily assigned to a particular mission Cluster II within Solar and Planetary Mission family but with the possibility of supporting other missions within this family. The general activities to be supported by this service are depending on the phase of the mission Study of specific Mission Characteristics and Ground Segment Documentation Participation in the Analysis and Design of Satellite Operations Preparation of Functional Requirements for Flight Control Ground Facilities Preparation of Flight Control and Contingency Procedures Mission Management and Mission Planning Support OnBoard Software Maintenance Support Supervision of daily operations and reporting General Flight Control Support Spacecraft Performance Analysis Support to other missions could also include SVT, Launch Campaign, LEOP, etc. Qualifications Msc in any related discipline Required knowledge Spacecraft subsystem knowledge Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Experience in activities applicable to spacecraft operations Coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields. Able to work independently Familiarity with the ESOC environment Familiarity with satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000 Familiarity with Planning and Automation Systems. A familiarity with AI Planning and Scheduling techniques is an asset. The ability to multitask efficiently working on multiple activities, multiple subsystems and if applicable multiple missions simultaneously. Familiarity with operational simulators, especially the ones based on SimSat Experience in programming is desirable e.g. Java, Python, HTML, PHP WHAT DO WE OFFER?
