This vacancy note concerns an onsite consulting position at ESOC in Darmstadt, Germany. Job Description We are looking for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer to support our customer ESOC in the BepiColombo mission. You will support the Data Handling Subsystem with focus on PUS services and Onboard Control procedures maintenance, operational support to instruments and spacecraft performance analysis. You may also be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional subsystems or systems within the scope of general SOE services, including test, validation and operation of the Mission Control System, Mission Planning System and Simulator. Your tasks will include Operations Supervision Anomaly Handling Mission Planning Tools, MIB and FOP Maintenance Validation and Deployment of Ground Systems updates Management and coordination of internal mission interfaces Spacecraft Performance Analysis and Reporting Phase Execution Eclipses Ops, Flyby, Remote Sensing Windows, etc. OnBoard Software Maintenance Support Service Engineering Model Maintenance Mandatory Requirements Minimum of 3 years experience Spacecraft subsystem knowledge AOCSDHOBSMPower ThermalTTCPayload Coordination and interaction with other service providers in operations, and with other entities such as PI teams or Science Ground Segment Machine learning experience Experience in scripting programming Desirable Requirements Familiarity with the ESOC environment satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000 operational simulators, especially the ones based on SimSat with deep space missions operations MOIS Onboard Control Procedures maintenance lifecycle Work Location Darmstadt, Germany Application Deadline 03 June 2021 Start of Work 01 September 2021 Important Notes Before applying to this position, please read the page How to Apply on the Solenix website under Career.
