JOB DESCRIPTION Spacecraft Operations engineer Responsibilities Duties Tasks Spacecraft Operations Engineering service for the folloging subsystems AOCS 6 positions Data Handling 3 positions Power Thermal 4 positions Payload 4 positions TTC 3 positions SOE Mission Planning 1 position ESTRACK Station Engineering 6 positions Simulation and Training 5 positions Qualifications Aerospace Engineer, Mathematician, Physicist or any related discipline Required knowledge Spacecraft subsystem knowledge Experience in activities applicable to spacecraft operations Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields. Able to work independently Familiarity with the ESOC environment Familiarity with satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000 Some experience dealing with external interfaces Familiarity with operational simulators, especially the ones based on SimSat Familiarity with Astronomical Fundamental Physics satellites The ability to multitask efficiently working on multiple activities, multiple subsystems and if applicable multiple missions simultaneously.
