DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ AT 500 AM EDT (0900 UTC), THE CENTER OF SUBTROPICAL STORM ANA WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 31.6 NORTH, LONGITUDE 77.8 WEST. THE STORM IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH-NORTHWEST NEAR 1 MPH (2 KM/H). A TURN TOWARD THE NORTHWEST WITH A SLIGHT INCREASE IN FORWARD SPEED IS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT 48 HOURS. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 45 MPH (75 KM/H) WITH HIGHER GUSTS. SOME SLIGHT STRENGTHENING IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT DAY OR SO.
