A vacancy for a Supply Operations Manager SOM for Propulsion equipments has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Stevenage. You will be the primary interface with the nominated suppliers and responsible for the relationship between the supplier and Airbus DS. You will be fully responsible for managing the purchasing phase of the supply chain core process and deliver equipments, software or test services to projects on time, to cost and fulfilling all performance and quality requirements. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include I Procurement Phase Support the procurement phase Phase B of the supply process preparation of Invitation To Tender ITT packages, supplier proposal evaluation, supplier negotiation and selection for different projects. II Purchasing Phase Drive OQ OT OC delivery from suppliers by effective daytoday management of subcontract typically multiproject, international contracts timely and accurate reporting to PSMs facilitate appropriate technical interaction between project MSC and supplier. Coordinate the interfaces of all the stakeholders involved in the supplier management process procurement, technical, quality EEE parts material processes, commercial contract. Responsibility for driving the EQSR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, TRBSRB DRB process equipment category dependent. Management of NCRs and RFWD and chairing of NRBs. Coordinate specialist quality interfaces for MIPs, EEE, radiation and MP. Monitor the progress of the supplier and agree corrective action as necessary in close liaison with the project engineering, product assurance, contracts and project office. Acquiring indepth knowledge of supplier leading to more effective control. Identify in close liaison with the project team and the supplier appropriate risks covering technical, schedule and commercial aspects. Ensure implementation of mitigation actions by the supplier. Ensure fulfilment of export control regulations such as ITAR. Maintain metrics related to the execution of the contract schedule, quality, cost. III General Completion of annual supplier evaluation with appropriate support. Local followupsupport to development plans defined by SDM. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience HNDDegree in a MechanicalElectroMechanical Engineering related discipline. Proven experience in a Supply Chain Procurement environment within the Aerospace industry. Proven backgroundexperience in Propulsion. Proven experienced as Subcontract Manager or Project Manager. Strong leadership, facilitation and organisational skills. Focused on results OT OQ OC Delivery to a high standard. Strong communication, commercial negotiation skills. Relationship builder pulling through added value from supplier. Understanding of Quality Management and Product Assurance.
