The initial intensity is kept at 30 kt in this advisory based on continuity. However, given that the system is over cold waters and devoid of deep convection, the NHC forecast calls for Daniel to become a remnant low on Tuesday. The shallow cyclone is moving toward the west-northwest or 285 degrees at 8 kt embedded within the easterly trade winds. Daniel or its remnants should move toward the west until dissipation in a day or so. Guidance is very consistent with this solution.
