DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Emilia was located near latitude 17.7 North, longitude 119.2 West. The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue for the next day or two. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Emilia is forecast to degenerate into a remnant low later today.
