DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Sixteen-E was located near latitude 16.7 North, longitude 112.9 West. The depression is moving toward the northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h), and a west-northwest or northwest motion is expected for the next few days Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. The depression is forecast to become a tropical storm on Sunday, and further gradual strengthening is anticipated on Monday and Tuesday.
