DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Darby was located near latitude 19.8 North, longitude 135.4 West. Darby is moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h). A turn toward the west is forecast to occur tonight, and this general motion is expected to continue during the next few days. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 70 mph (110 km/h) with higher gusts. Gradual weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 991 mb (29.27 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
