DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 800 PM PDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Kenneth was located near latitude 22.6 North, longitude 134.0 West. Kenneth is moving toward the north-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this direction of motion with a gradual decrease in forward speed is expected over the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph (100 km/h) with higher gusts. Continued weakening is expected, and Kenneth is forecast to become a remnant low by early Thursday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 996 mb (29.42 inches).
