DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lorenzo was located near latitude 11.6 North, longitude 26.7 West. Lorenzo is moving toward the west near 15 mph (24 km/h). A west to west-northwest motion is expected for the next few days. Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts. Strengthening is forecast for the next few days, and Lorenzo is expected to become a hurricane by Tuesday night. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km) from the center.
