DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK ------------------------------ At 800 AM PDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Roslyn was located near latitude 17.0 North, longitude 119.4 West. Roslyn is moving toward the north-northeast near 5 mph (7 km/h). A turn toward the northeast with some increase in forward speed is expected later today. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next day or so. Weakening should begin by Tuesday night. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).
