SUMMARY OF 900 PM GMT...2100 UTC...INFORMATION ---------------------------------------------- LOCATION...30.5N 31.9W ABOUT 590 MI...945 KM SSW OF THE AZORES MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...60 MPH...95 KM/H PRESENT MOVEMENT...ENE OR 65 DEGREES AT 13 MPH...20 KM/H MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...992 MB...29.30 INCHES WATCHES AND WARNINGS -------------------- There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect. DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 900 PM GMT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Theta was located near latitude 30.5 North, longitude 31.9 West. Theta is moving toward the east-northeast near 13 mph (20 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue through Friday, followed by a turn to the east along with a slowing of the forward motion. Maximum sustained winds are near 60 mph (95 km/h) with higher gusts. Only slight weakening is expected over the next couple of days. Faster weakening is forecast to occur this weekend. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 205 miles (335 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 992 mb (29.30 inches).
