YOUR TASKS This advertisment is for a team of professionals to provide a Verification Validation Testing Service to the Generic Systems Infrastructure Division GSI of EUMETSAT, with a particular focus on Data Services, MultiMission systems and Communications Networks, including the associated systems and software functions and services. The Verification Validation Testing activities shall target The existing operational systems and their already planned evolutions for fulfilling the requirements of upcoming satellite missions e.g. the launch of Sentinel6A in Q4 2020 The new Data Services in preparation for being open as Pilot and, later, Operational Services The new Data Services during their operational life The existing operational systems during their reshaping for leveraging the new Data Services e.g. during their migration to the new cloudbased infrastructure or during their software refactoring for using some of the new data access services Any future servicesapplications related to Data Services, MultiMission Systems or Communication Networks that might be developed in the scope of other activitiescontracts, while this activity is running. The scope of Verification Validation Testing activities includes an endtoend view of the services, i.e. includes system testing aspects across boundaries of individual systems and software. The activities concentrate only on systemlevel verification validation. The specific tasks in this service range from the preparation validation of test plans for the various components, to the support at EUMETSAT during integration and verification campaigns Preparation, definition and verification of Test Procedures Preparation of integration and VV test plans Preparation of Verification Control Documents Preparation of Verification Plans Generation of automated test suites Setup of test environments, on contractor premises for offsite work, and onsite, with required test tools Execution of the tests according to the test plans and test procedures Generation of the verification and test reports Support to the Test Readiness Review and Test Review Board preparation Support to the Verification Readiness Review and VerificationAcceptance preparation YOUR PROFILE The proposed team shall collectively demonstrate experience in the following mandatory areas System Verification Validation of large scale systems Operational Systems with 247 production and the related issues, constraints and best practices Implementation and test of systems and services that are governed by a strict change control process in an operational environment Creation of suitable test suites, test documentation and their execution Knowledge of Earth Observation systems is advantageous Additionally, the proposed team shall collectively provide the following mandatory skills as part of this service Formalised Software Testing functional, regression, component Formalised System Testing functional, regression, component, integration, including requirements verification Experience in Verification methodology and Requirements management Experience in using XML technologies for data format representation and interface documentation Network lifecycle verification upgrade testing Network design verification Network configuration verification Network security verification test Assess known bugs and limitations from software release notes Featurefunction testing of OS and COTS upgrades with respect to expected behaviour Experience with load and benchmark testing Experience in generating simulated test data for load testing Proficiency in scripting languages in a UNIXLinux environment Experience in testing Web Services JSON, REST, SOAP Experience in using version control systems such as git Experience in testing SQL and NoSQL databases ElasticSearch, Solr Experience in using virtualization and containers i.e. Docker for supporting testing activities Experience in bug tracking and analysis and using tools such as Jira Req. Experience in using test coverage tools and techniques for developing automated test suites that increase the test coverage JUnit, JMeter Very good command of written and spoken English.
