Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)
2018-10-03 18:22:55| EmergingTextiles.com
The sharp rise of crude oil prices has supported paraxylene prices in the past week, along with a tight supply situation in the Far East. PTA producers in China are struggling with large inventories which could be rapidly digested after the current holiday week in China, allowing polyester fiber prices to stop falling and possibly bottom out. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Asian Contract Prices (ACPs) are also available for the PX, PTA and MEG markets in Asia, with 5-year charts and downloadable historical data.
