Are you an experienced Legal Officer looking to take the next step in your career within a dynamic and multicultural environment? Europes Meteorological Satellite Agency EUMETSAT, is a rapidly growing international organisation, seeking a candidate to join their Legal Affairs Division. Based within a small team, the successful candidate shall provide valuable input into the shaping and development of policies and strategies. Responsibilities shall include Provide legal advice on intellectual property law IPR, IT law and other technical legal matters as well as on institutional law. Draft and amend EUMETSAT legal documents Participate in the drafting and support the negotiations of agreements with international partners Prepare and present documents on legal matters and Cooperation Agreements for EUMETSAT Delegate Bodies. The successful candidate must have a university degree or equivalent in law, preferably with a qualification in IPR law or IT law. Knowledge of Public International Law and EU law would be considered advantageous. Candidates require proven experience working in a legal function in the area of IPR or IT law, ideally including experience of working in an international organisation with experience in institutional law. All applicants require a good knowledge of IT along with experience using office software systems. The working language for this position is English, therefore good spoken and written English is essential. A basic knowledge of French andor German would be ideal All candidates must be EUMETSAT member state nationals.
