The successful candidate will ensure security support for the definition, development, deployment and validation of services provided by the various space components. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The jobholder will have the following tasks and responsibilities Contribute to the establishmentupdate of the services roadmap and associated implementation plan on security aspects, in coordination with other Agency departments, European Commission and European Space Agency ESA Ensure the execution of the service implementation plan for the services located in the Galileo Service Centre GSC Support servicespecific security engineering activities and security requirements documentation under the responsibility of the Agency Participate in the definition and maintenance of the security requirements for the service provision Maintain the traceability from the mission security requirements and the flowdown to the relevant elements system, user segment, operations, as well as monitor and review of their implementation Support the preparation of the Service Definition documents for services to cover the security areas of the service provision and other documents related to the service exploitation baselines Support the Agencys Engineering, Operations, Project Change Control boards for the Components for what concerns the security matters Prepare reports on security aspects of the components services Support the continuous update of the security engineering processes within the Agency in line with the space engineering standards ECSS, ISO, Common Criteria, etc. and best practices. The position is located at the Galileo Service Centre in Torrejn de Ardoz Madrid, Spain and implies regular missions to the Agencys headquarters and other locations in Europe. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Masters Degree in a relevant technical domain. A minimum of 5 years of experience working performing the above tasks mentioned. Knowledge andor experience of space system engineering or operations activities specifically in Galileo. Excellent command of both written and spoken English. Organised, dynamic and proactive. GSA AND SECURITY DEPARTMENT The European GNSS Agency GSA is responsible for the operations and service provision for the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems GNSS EGNOS and Galileo. By developing a new generation of GNSS, Europe is laying the foundation for new hightechnology industry development, leading to job creation and economic growth. These European flagship space programmes, which embody what can be achieved when Europe works together, are already bringing real benefits to people and business in Europe and around the world. The European GNSS infrastructure includes approximately worldwide 30 sites for Galileo and 50 sites for EGNOS. With the introduction of the new Space Regulation, expected to enter into force in 2021, the Agency will expand its scope of activities beyond Galileo and EGNOS, to other components, such as Copernicus for Earth Observation, GOVSATCOM for Governmental Space Communications and Space Situational Awareness SSA. In particular, in the security field, the Agency will be entrusted with the direct responsibility of the operational security of Galileo and EGNOS. At the same time, securityrelated activities will be entrusted to the Agency also in the other components.
