In this role, you will optimize the usability, performance and user experience of these services. Aufgaben As a Web Service Data Engineer, you will support the operations and evolution of webbased services related to Earth Observation satellite data e.g. atmospheric or marine data. You will provide guidance and support to the enduser and you will support the enhancement of these services to improve the user experience. The following activities belong to your range of tasks Supporting user requests relating to the web applications Preparing user material e.g. documentation and tutorials Monitoring the web applications to report upon system performance Preparing and analysing statistics and reports Preparing and maintaining enduser requirements and use cases Preparing validation test scripts and performing validation tests Qualifikation You have a degree, or a comparable education, in Software Development, Science or a related topic, and have relevant professional experience in the field of web applications. Furthermore, you bring the following with you Experience in supporting endusers and preparing documentation e.g. user guides Experience in writing enduser requirements and use cases for web applications Experience in usability, UI design and user experience Experience in software development lifecycles, system testing, usage of test data tools, writing validation test scripts, performance testing for webbased data services Knowledge of REST API Knowledge of HTML5 and JavaScript Knowledge of scripting e.g. Python, Bash Knowledge of XML, ISO 19115 metadata standards for data discovery Knowledge of webbased scientific data visualization, OGC WMS, WCS and WFS services, Earth Observation satellite data Good English writing skills Knowledge of MS Office

Overview The Galileo G1 System AIV Deployment Services Section requires support from a Service ContinuityAnomaly Management Engineer, tasks and activities include Maintaining the System Business Continuity concept and status, providing quick reaction in case changes or anomalies affect the Galileo continuity of service. You shall identify any critical anomalies and coordinate internally at ESA ensuring the proper attention. Any critical anomalies posing a risk on the service continuity shall be highlighted and reviewed as part of the Service Continuity Dashboard. Service continuity plan Developing and maintaining the ESA Service Continuity Plan Service continuity dash board Developing the ESA Service Continuity Dashboard Monitor weekly any critical technical risks ARs, obsolescence, incidents, outages etc. on the operational infrastructure and report this in the service continuity dashboard. Operational processes Contributing to the continuous reviews of the operational process between ESA and GSA i.e. the SOPIs. Asbuilt RAMS Contributing to the Asbuilt RAMS analysis as conducted in cooperation with ESA PA and presented at the biyearly Service Exploitation Review. .Specific Qualification Requirements Master or Phd degree in relevant discipline, with at least 4 years of working experience in the above fields. Must be eligible for a Personal Security Clearances PSC from a country within the EU, issued by their national security administrations. Experience in procurement of industrial activities. Knowledge of IT technology including virtualisation. Knowledge and experience of the design and performance of satellite communications. Knowledge and experience of satellite control and monitoring systems including its operations, architecture and implementation is required. Good inter personal skills and team spirit. Excellent Organizational skills, good practical sense, being able to work effectively in a team and be able to work autonomously in the field of responsibility. Proficient in English both written and spoken. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. Prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Technology and Research Centre ESTEC at Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. Knowledge of the development, test, and verification as well as deployment of ground segments. Autonomy in writing minutes of meetings, technical notes, specifications, and reports. Good interpersonal skills and team spirit. Previous working experience in a multinational environment. Good knowledge of MS office tools. Excellent Organizational skills, good practical sense, ability to work effectively in a team and ability to work autonomously in the field of responsibility.
