RHEA is currently recruiting a Data Processing System Engineer to support the Sentinel3 operations at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities You shall support the Sentinel3 operations with respect to EUMETSATs Marine Payload Data Ground Segment PDGS maintenance in particular anomaly correction and software release process in the area of DFEP and LO, and necessary evolutions, including the necessary coordination of the data processing systems engineering for the related interfaces with the rest of the Sentinel3 ground segment. The scope of work will include Preparing and providing support to day to day operation preparation, Analysis and testing of the facilities, including the handling of anomalies, design of upgrades and configuration changes for these facilities Be the focal point for integrating each SW Facilities into a data processing system, covering all aspects of system integration and testing, including endtoend testing of the production system Settingup and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures Coordination with external providers of maintenance services Participation in the specification and development of specific monitoring tools for S3 Provide on call support for the S3 commissioning and initial operations phases. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification Minimum 3 years of experience in the evolutions of large scale software systems Handson experience in software development lifecycles Handson experience in software debugging and profiling tools e.g. GDB, DBX, IBM Purify, Valgrind, source code control systems Subversion, CVS, and software testing, unit test suite maintenance, automated testing, verification and validation CCJava programming language experience in a UNIXLinux based environment Knowledge of Scripting languages Python, Perl, TclTk, shell Knowledge of web technologies, programming and markup languages e.g. Apache, CGI, JavaScript, XML and related technologies XPATH, SVG, etc. The following skills would be highly desirable Knowledge of DFEP processors as used by S3 and LO processing within a framework based solution PDGS for S3 Knowledge of networking technologies and tools CCSDS protocols, Space Data Link Protocols, TCPIP, UDP multicast, PGM, FTP, Wireshark.
