Security Validation Engineer

We are currently looking for a Security Validation Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Security Validation Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities The European Space Operations Centre ESOC is the main mission control centre for the European Space Agency ESA and provides satellite operations and ground station tracking network services to its users. You will support the Galileo Security Office in the coordination of the definition, preparation, testing, validation, and implementation of the Galileo security operations activities performed in the Galileo Control Centres Oberpfaffenhofen and Fucino, the Galileo remote stations, the Galileo external entities and the PRS User Communities. You will have the following responsibilities Galileo Security Operations Engineering activities related to SECOPS Validation activities ensuring readiness of security procedures Interfaces to the Mission Level Operational Bodies Flight Key Cell, CDA, GSMC Galileo accreditation process Flow down and implementation of the Mission Level Security Specifications Ensure that the Operations Contractors implement the Security Accreditation Methodology and associated outputs. Coordinate the technical definition, implementation and validation of the operational security measures coming from Risk Treatment Plans Support the Galileo Anomaly Review Boards and Configuration Control Support the PRS User Communities with respect to the operational activities. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in Aerospace Engineering or a similar discipline Extensive experience in security engineering and management in space projects Familiarity with navigation systems and satellite operations Willingness to travel Ability to work independently as well as good communication skills Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of German Italian is an advantage. We are currently looking for an Simulator Infrastructure Validation and Verification Engineer to support our customer ESAESOC in Germany. Simulator Infrastructure Validation and Verification Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities The European Space Operations Centre ESOC conducts mission operations for ESA satellites and establishes, operates and maintains the necessary ground segment infrastructure. You will be involved in the validation and verification of simulation software and you will have the following responsibilities Review of technical documentation and verification of compliance to the applicable requirements Production and maintenance of technical documentation, including test plans Collaboration with the Directorates Technical Officers for the acceptance tests activities of the main systems deliveries and patches Definition and execution of manual and automated test cases Support to users of infrastructure systems, including troubleshooting of reported problems Measurement of systems performance Production of test reports documenting the outputs of the systems acceptance test activities. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant field or equivalent Competence in modern computer languages such as C, C, Java, XML, SQL, IDL, scripting languages Familiarity with modern software development environments and systems Familiarity with WINDOWS and LINUX environments as well as IP based network environments Knowledge and experience in Database administration, Software engineering and documentation Familiarity with the ESOC infrastructure applications belonging to the Mission Control domain, in particular with SIMSAT simulators development and runtime environment would be an advantage Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
