HE Space is a successful international space company. For 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for an Simulator Infrastructure Validation and Verification Engineer to support our customer ESAESOC in Germany. Simulator Infrastructure Validation and Verification Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities The European Space Operations Centre ESOC conducts mission operations for ESA satellites and establishes, operates and maintains the necessary ground segment infrastructure. You will be involved in the validation and verification of simulation software and you will have the following responsibilities Review of technical documentation and verification of compliance to the applicable requirements Production and maintenance of technical documentation, including test plans Collaboration with the Directorates Technical Officers for the acceptance tests activities of the main systems deliveries and patches Definition and execution of manual and automated test cases Support to users of infrastructure systems, including troubleshooting of reported problems Measurement of systems performance Production of test reports documenting the outputs of the systems acceptance test activities. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant field or equivalent Competence in modern computer languages such as C, C, Java, XML, SQL, IDL, scripting languages Familiarity with modern software development environments and systems Familiarity with WINDOWS and LINUX environments as well as IP based network environments Knowledge and experience in Database administration, Software engineering and documentation Familiarity with the ESOC infrastructure applications belonging to the Mission Control domain, in particular with SIMSAT simulators development and runtime environment would be an advantage Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of another European language is an advantage. This job is located in Darmstadt. We are looking for candidates who are available from January 2016 or as soon as possible thereafter.
