ResponsibilitiesDuties The Engineer will provide support to the TPZVD ICT Engineering Team in the delivery of ICT engineering services to multiple clients. QualificationsExperience A university degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent. At least 5 years experience as IT Engineer, in a customer facing role. Essential Skills Solid work experience with Linux OS RHEL, SLES and derivatives, system administration and customization Knowledge and working experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Good knowledge on automation technologies and tools such as Chef, Puppet andor Ansible. Supporting solutions running in Cloud Services. Demonstrated ability to have completed complex technical projects. Providing timely analysis and resolution of issues reported by level 2 support team. An advancedlevel command of English and an ability to present output in a clear, concise and understandable way, both orally and in writing Proactive approach and take ownership of problems. Ability to manage assigned activitiestasks in line with deadlines. Requirements analysis and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently Desired Skills Understanding of the software development lifecycle including design, implementation and testing, Agile and Scrum methodologies. The successful candidate will focus on the following tasks and responsibilities Design, create, develop, test, and manage software development for automation tasks. Contribute to the engineering of service integration with automatic control of cloud computing based systems. Routinely manage data access services cloud computing platform automation and relevant aspects related to performance, integrity and security. Contribute to the planning and development of the automation development tasks. Troubleshoot issues. Operations, maintenance and support activities to the data access automation tools and the underlying cloud infrastructure. Ensure that the automation tools components are compliant with security requirements. Regular interaction with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure systems integrity and security. Regular implementation of needed changes when required. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in similar service environments and the following skils and experience Technical experience in development for operations, or fullstack implementations. Software development capability in a highlevel programming language that best fits with the cloud computing platforms of interest Openstack, VMware vSphere, such as python, Java, or other of choice. Successful customer engagement providing delivery solutions, preferably using cloud computing technologies. GNULinux command line capability. Familiarity with Openstack and VMware vSphere services with particular depth in those used to orchestrate automate the provisioning of resources. Experience in configuration management utilities and tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc. Experienced with systems and IT operations. Understanding of virtual machines, GNULinux containers and their application. Ability to select, use, deploy and maintain a wide variety of open source technologies and tools. Systems integration experience in a GNULinux environment with network security experience. Technical Reporting Problem solving and analytical skills Skills to work under pressure and willingness to keep up to date with new technology Excellent written and spoken English Technical Certifications are an asset. The activities to be carried out initially are within a project which defines and implement an SDE Software Development Environment for a satellite test bench that is built on top of the EGSCC, the future product line for satellite control centers developed by ESA European Space Agency. You will be in charge of Installing and configuring external tools Git, Jenkins, Nexus, etc. Developing tools scripts to ensure complementary functions which implement the test bench SDE specific requirements not satisfied by external tools Documenting the overall lifecycle process Validating the proper functioning of the overall system. Being a trained engineer or having an MS degree, you have a significant experience at least 5 years in using and setting up complex development environments that integrate all tools covering the development life cycle Eclipse framework, compiling, version management, continuous integration, issues management, collaborative environment, requirements management, documentation management.
